Screening topsoil is one of the flagship applications for Orbit Screens. Screened topsoil can fetch a substantial premium as it provides a far superior finished product. There are some jurisdictions that require screened topsoil on new construction. Orbital Action is the key to high efficiency Topsoil Screening. As the raw material is turned over itself in the screen dish unwanted material and clumps of topsoil fall out the front of the dish onto the overs conveyor. The wanted material goes through the screen onto the fines conveyor. The fines conveyor can be used to fill trucks or create stacks.  One of the factors in screening topsoil is moisture. Dryer is always better, but when the screen openings do get material in them, the optional brush package is available for mitigation. In addition to premium products, Orbit Screens are used to reclaim topsoil from mixed material like trash, tires, lead shot, logs, or decorative rock. |
